Scientific Impact: Demonstrates a clear causal relationship between mutation burden and impaired muscle regeneration.
Broader Relevance: Provides a platform for studying somatic mutagenesis in aging and disease contexts.
Future Directions: Opens avenues to explore therapeutic strategies for preserving tissue function amidst genomic instability.
We are pleased to announce that our Ph.D. student, Shalini Gupta, presented her work at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore Genomics Indian Conference 2025, held from August 12–14, 2025.
Her research focused on addressing challenges associated with tissue heterogeneity through advanced big data analysis and single-cell approaches. This work exemplifies our lab’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge techniques to solve complex biological problems.
Congratulations to Shalini for her valuable contribution and for representing our lab at this prominent conference!
We are thrilled to share the our latest research published in Cancer Gene Therapy, Nature Portfolio in collaboration with Sahlgrenska Academy at University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
This study titled, "IER3: exploring its dual function as an oncogene and tumor suppressor," sheds new light on the intricate role of how IER3 acts as a context-dependent oncogene or tumor suppressor, promoting oncogenesis in HeLa cells via EGR2, FOS, and JUN, while suppressing EGR2 and activating ADAM19 in neuroblastoma..Read full article
